March 10

  • BD gymnastics is the 2025 Regional Champions! Our gymnasts topped the regionals on a team score of 113.8. They broke the school record of highest team score. 
    Top scorers were Kobe Johnson who was 1st on Vault,  Avery Gleave who was 2nd on Floor, Ally Lewis and Maria Szczepanski 2nd on Beam. Next Saturday our gymnasts will be going to the State!!!  Way to go  Saints!
  • Congratulations to the BD Summit Sound Show Choir for placing 3rd in the Bishop Luers Mid-West Show Choir Invitational this past weekend. A special shout out to Bridget Urbahns, Dynamic Performer this week. Catch us this weekend at Norwell as we compete in our final event of the season. Go BD!
  • Congratulations to the BD Winter Drum Line! On Saturday at Westfield High School, the Winter Drumline placed 4th in the Indiana Percussion Association contest. This Saturday, March 15th, the BD Winter Drum Line will be competing at Noblesville High School.
  • SEA will collect recycling on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Please meet in room 112 for any instructions. 
    Last week, SEA kicked off its Lenten program dedicated to better understanding Pope Francis's writing Laudato Si. This week on Thursday from 3:10 till 3:30, we will be looking at what sustainability means and why it is important. Snacks are provided and all are welcome. 
  • Attention, BDHS Medical Club members: Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 11th, at 7AM in the library. Also, the next CPR training class will be on Wednesday, March 12th, at 3PM in Mr. Quigley’s classroom. Certification is good for two years and it is free of charge. See Mr. Quigley in room 211 to sign up!
  • Book Club will meet Tuesday after school in Mrs. Yanez's room, 223.
  • The library will be closed all day Tuesday for Future Saints visits. This means there will be no printing. Please plan accordingly.

March 6

  • The Sisters of St Francis of Perpetual Adoration are coming again tomorrow to guide us through time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration. Please be sure to welcome them!
  • Cheerleading tryouts will be March 17th - 19th from  3:30pm to 5:30pm in the SAC.

  • Fr. Caleb will have Confessions after school today.
  • The CRS Club would like to invite all students and staff to join us in our annual Rice Bowl lunches. Members of the CRS club will be serving rice at all lunches on Fridays during Lent. Donations will go to the work of Catholic Relief Services globally and Catholic Charities locally. Remember, this is about more than just fasting – this is about solidarity with our poorest brothers and sisters.
  •  This Lent, SEA will sponsor a book club and discussion of Laudato Si every Thursday starting this week at 3:10 and running till 3:35 - 3:40. There will be snacks, fellowship and hopefully great discussion. All are welcome, both students' faculty and staff,  even if you can only stay for a short time. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Walker in room 112. We hope to see you as we learn more about living our vocation as protectors to our Common Home. 

March 4

  • Tomorrow - Wednesday - we will celebrate an Ash Wednesday All School Mass.  We will have a normal school day start at 7:55am and will dismiss at 2:35pm.

  • Driver's Education registration ends this Friday - there are only a few spots left in the 4pm class.  Pick up the forms in the Main Office.
  • There will be a Call Out Meeting today for all girls interested in playing soccer in the Fall.  The meeting is at 3:15 pm in the Library.  
  • We will have a Marching Band Drum Major Call Out meeting on Tuesday, March 4th at 3:15pm in the band room. Any student who is interested in the role of drum major for marching band 2025, please attend this meeting. 
  • BD Boys Volleyball Open Gym will be March 10, 6:00 pm SAC Gym

March 3

  • Congratulations to our BD gymnastics team!
      On Saturday the team competed in Sectionals and won with the score of 113.25! The top scores were Kobe Johnson, Avery Gleave, Ally Lewis and Maria Szczepanski. Next Saturday the team will compete in Regionals.
  • Congratulations to the BD Winter Guard for earning a silver at the IHSCGA winter guard contest at Zionsville High School.
  • Congratulations to BD's Summit Sound Show Choir for earning 3rd Runner up at the Huntington North Mid-West Showcase Choral Invitational! And to Owen Lenhart for earning the Outstanding Performer of the day!
  • Philomena's Friends will meet tomorrow after school in the Library.
  • SEA will be collecting recycling on its normal days this week, Tuesday and Wednesday after school. 
    Just as a reminder, Service cards are due on April 17th which will be here before you know it! Recycling does count as flex and list hours and conveniently takes place after school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. All are welcome!

    Ever wonder what our responsibilities are towards our environment and planet? Pope Francis wrote Laudato Si 10 years ago in hopes that it would inspire many to take a call of action to better the world we live. Bishop Rhodes is encouraging all communities to start living this call and putting Pope Francis's words into action.
